got about 115K on my '83... have had a ed distributor cap replaced... also was warned to replace the timing belt before the clock struck 100k as the difference in cost was minimal to replace the belt as opposed to the alternatives... presume this means every 100k or so...

every time I turn right and accelerate at speed (most times) I get a distinct clunk clunk clunk sound (pretty technical, no?)... only occurs for short while (50 ft maybe)... at speed there is no clunking... to me the sound appears to be coming from the left front, but that's the only place that I si...

be careful with the WD-40 thing cuz past experience says it will eventually rust and seize up your door locks... every year for a few anyway I've had problems opening one or all of my locks during the winter because of this... I've switched to "Slick n Shine" from Home Hardware... silicone...

Re: winter tiers question
Was in serious danger of sliding over our winter roads a few years back when my first set of V-rated tires were wearing thin... testing out several SUV's and 4x4's... hey, don't get me wrong, the drive was fun and challenging but more than a little whiteknuckled... <P>anyway I went to my local tire ...
