why, probably because this stuff is intended for outdoor use, and if hes gonna paint it, he should still clear it afterwards, and clear is not $4 a can anywhere, therefore to do it right would cost more than that, just go with the tint spray, thats what its made for.

its a taillight tint spray, it actually a japanese product and it comes in a few different colors, red, yellow, blue and smoke, it does a very nice job if you do it in the right temperature conditions and and do it in light coats many times over, i work in a body shop and have done it to manny cars ...
