If you are wanting to get rid of your VAF than the best thing to do will be to switch it to a MAF. But then you will have to make mods to your E-Prom.

When you take a piece of paper and put it by the VRIS canisters and rev the motor to see if you are getting vacume to them.

Check the vacume to your VRIS. They can play hell with your idle as well.
