Re: Quick oil consumption question

If you spent that much rebuilding why didn't you swap a KLZE?

Re: Coolant Resevoir

Christopher, if you were getting oil in or around the spark plug wire, wouldn't that just be the valvecover gaskets and not neccessarly the head gaskets?

Re: My engine got warm! Cooler broke.

That happened to me right after I bought my car. My car maxed out a few times before I got it fixed. Luckily I haven't had a power loss. It was the waterpump. The dealer fixed mine for free. If it is your waterpump, might as well change Timing Belt.

Re: Best Intake/Exhaust For 1.8 V6!

I'm building a custom intake to the front of my bumper, I've just got to find someone who can make something like a grommet to put in the hole in the bumper

Re: ok yall what do u know

From what I know the chips that are sold like that are for the stock configuration. If you have done mods I'd get the ECU reprogrammed by someone who knows what they are doing

Re: RPM's

Hy300, I think that it would be very hard to get an rx7's tranny to work in a mx3 since our engines are set up for a front wheel drive tranny, and the rx7 is a rear wheel drive. however you can get a custom 6speed gearbox from <A HREF="http://www.quaife.com" TARGET=_blank>www.quaife.com</A...

Re: RPM's

the gear ratio used on the mx-3 is 4.38, the pgt's and the mx-6's use the same tranny w/ a 4.11 gear ratio. That will give you a higher top speed and better gas milage, but you will lose acceleration

Re: high flow cat

Billy, if you would read the v6 faq, then you would see that engines need no backpressure, it is exhaust velocity that is needed, a larger diameter pipe allows more volume of gas to exit, but lowers the exhaust velocity.
