Re: Mazda 6-New V-6 motor

I believe there was a discussion about the new Mazda V6 some time ago, and the result was that if you were to go to the trouble necessary to install that engine you could possibly go for something a little better.
Such as a V8... :)

Re: Why did u choose a mx3?

I last year I found an MX-3 accidently on a local car yard, and was impressed by the look, handling and the V6. I researched the car for a bit and then found this forum. Knowing that the 2.5L KL-ZE could drop into the car, and that there was a fan site like this I went out and found the best example...

Re: roots blower?

I found a good site for supercharger information when I was reading up on Lysholm compressors. Have a look at http://www.europeancarweb.com/tech/0105ec_supercharger/ for a quick look at the physical constru...

Re: mx-3 appearance poll

Considering I havn't seen a bodykit I really like for the MX-3, I would go for stock. What I'd really like to see is a bodykit like the Onderground front, but with the more fluid and rounded lines of the original MX-3 front.
Full respect to the Onderground team for getting out there and making som...

Re: Squeaks?

An easy way is to find some back road and go for a drive with someone fumbling about in the back of the car. Just push gently on pannels to see if pressure there helps with the rattle. Thats how I got rid of a rattle in the dash of my MX-3.

Re: my engine doesnt start! PLZ help

You've probably not connected something, or broken a wire somewhere. The best you can do is to get an auto electrician to go over it for a hefty price, or you can try and analyse it yourself. If you dont know how to do this, it would be best to get it done professionaly.
Things dont end nicely if ...

Re: Alternator

I'm not sure of the stock rating of the MX-3's altenator, but if youy do try and draw too much the altenators output voltage should roughly drop in proportion with the current draw.
At the point where the altenators voltage is less than the batteries, it will hold there but not pass any more curre...

Re: #1 reason why Saab rules

I downloaded that movie a few weeks ago and I'm still showing it to my friends. I particularly like the head on weaving stunt, that is just class. :)
Unfortunatly I've seen most of the rest done bot in real life and on film, but it's good to have it all in one movie.
[ November 25, 2002: Message...

If you are going to do it, I suggest going the whole way. Theres nothing worse than a half completed job. Except perhaps that Prelude in the Images forum.

Indeed, I wouldnt envy the task of machining the necessary interfaces. Still, if you can pull off something like this killer ute... :)

You cant beat references like that LiQuId... :)
I have read Mikes article before, and I'm very impressed with his work. I wish him all the best with fine tuning and if he decides to market it. I know I'll be interested (if I dont make one first :))
Cheers
Psyrg

Re: headlight conversion????

Unfortunatly, I have a great dislike for the newer angular style designs car manufacturers are making now. However, I have thought about putting the headlights from a Celica st20x seriexs car. Thats the older 1996 (I'll have to check that) model with the twin round headlights.
I just really like r...
