Re: Australian Eunos 30X air filter

Forget about all the theory of why cold is better than a stock intake - do it because it sounds great when the VRIS's open at 4,000+ rpm! Once you hear it for the first time you'll smile for a week!

Re: KLZE installed, no fuel delivery...Fuel pump solenoid?

I know it may sound stupid but try reversing the 2 lines - it took me 2 days to figure that out when I did my swap!

Re: WHAT SHOULD I ASK FOR???

4 pieces - pilot bearing (fits in the flywheel hole in the centre), release bearing (bigger of the 2 bearings), pressure plate and cover. Check flywheel for scores, teeth on the outside not worn etc.

There are plenty of deatils in the on line manual as well.

Hope this helps!

Re: Running a ZE on 87 octane?

Sorry to be a pain but what does the knock sensor do then? I thought it listened for pre detonation and then retarded the ignition before any damage could occur - I would expect to lose some hp but not wreck the engine if this were the case.

Re: Running a ZE on 87 octane?

It was the post aboout ZE fuel economy that got me thinking - if premium is 10% more expensive than regular would I get 10% more fuel economy or 10% more pleasure? Probably not both - as I only use my car to commute back and to work there's only so much horsepower I can use getting up to 80km/hr on ...

Running a ZE on 87 octane?

What will happen if I stop using 93 octane gas?

Previous posts say either nothing as the ecu with automatically retard the timing to prevent detonation or the engine will knock due to pre-detonation? As these 2 views are exactly opposite it would be good to know the right answer!

Re: Tips or suggestions on KLZE swap

check out engineland in Lynnwood, WA - I got my KLZE with curve neck for USD$849 - no ecu or tranny - but it runs perfect with the K8 ecu and a 626 2.5 VAF

$1100 is way too much......
