Am I right in thinking that our fuel pipe take a 1/4" hose? (I've got a slight gas leak from the filter hose which is split (and right above the exhaust downpipe!))
thanks

Re: Engine dies out when oil cap is pulled off ++
my old K8 with crappy compression always died as well, my new (40,000mile?) ZE dies as well - I agree with Ian it's too much air gets in to the intake manifold making air/fuel ration too lean therefore stalls.

Re: V6 MX3 Solid Urethane Motor Mounts
yes it's your imagination - they are symmetrical about the centre bolt hole. Will you be doing the transmission mount and the upper engine mount as well - or just the other 2?

Re: Exedy Clutchs....??
you'll just need to get your flywheel refaced as the Probe clutch is around 10mm bigger in diameter than the stock mx3.

Re: crank pulley pulling
or take out the starter jam a big screwdriver in the ring gear to lock the engine and then take off the pulley - not difficult!

Re: KLZE curved neck manifold VACUUM hookups. Please help!
The WTF looks like where I connected up the EGR pipe to - I was lucky when I fitted my KLZE as it had a plate over it - I still have the plate around somewhere if you are stuck for one - but if you check on your existing manifold you might have it. The 1 to 6 checks out from what I remember doing as...

Re: Compression on KLZE
Thanks Tom - that's why I am confused as there is no way that a KLZE can have a pressure of 580 psi which is what 40 bar is! The tag on my engine was computer generated and says "Iveka" and "75417 Muhlacker"?

Compression on KLZE
When I fitted my KLZe a few months ago there was a label on one of the spark plug leads titled "compression value in bar". The numbers on the 6 cylinders are 39, 41, 42, 39, 40 and 41. I have no idea what these mean in PSI as I know that a KLZe in good condition should be around 200 psi. H...

Re: P/S pump noise
well it turned out it wasn't the pump but the bearing inside the tensioner wheel under the pump - so it was a really easy and cheap fix - luckily this time! I am amazed such a small bearing probably costing $3 could make so much horrible noise.

Re: BLUE SMOKE!!
I got a quote from a mechanic to do the valve seals on my old K8 and he wanted $800 per bank! So it's cheaper to run the car until it fails Emmissions / Aircare or whatever and then put a replacement engine in.

P/S pump noise
I've got a metallic scratching type noise from my pump - any idea what the matter with it is? I've seen seal kits to rebuild pumps has anybody done this?
