hey i had a similar problem with all this coolent junk and i changed my waterpump cause i found out it was leaking like crazy so that was one problem solved but the cars temp gauge would still go up a little and i changed the thermostat and the car runs great so i guess evyerones on the right track ...

hey hows it going bud sounds to me like , it might be no coolent in the rad and its leaking out or leaking from somwhere blown hose who knows... but it sounds like ur not getting coolent in the engine at all from what it sound like... OR either its not circulating properly throughout the engine caus...
