my gearbox has done the same thing... im dropping in my ZE next week, with ECU, LSD. As for cams and stuff im waiting for that, im putting my next chunk of money to exhaust and suspension, wheels and body kit<p>my 2nd gear is rough and so is my 3rd,i find my car runs low on gearbox fluid quickly....

hehe thanks pelado :) <p>trust me ive done alot of searching.... and in australia this kinda stuff costs a left nut... where as over in canada and america its about a 1/3 the cost.<p>But thanks for the help dude :)

Ok when doing the swap ideally these are all the extras we will need is this correct?<p>1) Exhaust manifold from the 1.8 or a millenia or rework the ze one to fit. 2) O-Rings 3) ECU, aftermarket or KL-ZE ecu 4) Clutch 5) Suspension as the new engine weights a bit more and with the increased power go...

hes charging me $2200 for the motor, the guy is from allmaz in melbourne, he goes over to japan to get his klze's apparently.

honestly <p>its possible to run 9s
a 2.5ltr v6 engine, if boosted right and with the right equipment could do it.

Theres an easier way, get the engine number and call mazda and find out.... engine # sits on the rear of the engine when looking at that photo.<p>and probably need a flashlight and a rag to see it properly.

There is an easier way.... there are a couple ways really.<p>1) is drive down the highway, with a friend tailing you, you burn most oil when doing hwy driving. Get him to observe with his windows down when you accelerate so he can have a look and also smell if anything is burning.<p>2) Start the car...

If your going to do a conversion.... it is going to cost BIG $$$$ no matter if its fwd to rwd<p>or fwd to AWD both cost alot<p>so go the AWD converion. I would recommend using the EVO drivetrain,.,.. the thing is rock solid and never dies.<p>My roommate drives and evo5 and it hooks up insanely hard.
