the intake resonator is the black pipe that protrudes from the intake hose and goes down. it is not needed.

so is there any effect, good or bad to boring it out, since it can't be removed

yes, can this plate be removed completely for maximum air flow? will the gasket seal?

I used a silicone coupling to mount the VAF to the TB, i put a PVC 90 degree on the VAF that went straight down, then put a cone style filter an the end of that.<BR>This system replaces your intake tube and gives you a cold air intake for really cheap

If you want cold air, you can run your filter strait down by the splash gaurd. Or you can take your head light out

today i did the tb coolant bypass mod. it definatly helped. when i had the tb off i knowtised that the throtle plate or what ever the plate seperating the tb from the manifold is called, is like a restrictor plate. the hole is smaller the the tb and the manifold. can the plate be safely removed or b...

the source is a nipple just like it on the intake manifold about 12" to the right of the actuator
