Re: Erk! Induction kit install gone wrong! (or has it?)
Sorry for asking what may seem obvious questions, but here I go anyway. During your removal-fit-removal-refit of the induction/intake kit did you make sure and reconnnect everything as it was originally :- pipes, ducts, elec connections? When you ordered your replacement dizzy did you make sure and ge...

Re: Erk! Induction kit install gone wrong! (or has it?)
I suppose my concern would be that only buying the ignition unit might turn out to be a false economy if it isn't the component that is faulty.

Re: Erk! Induction kit install gone wrong! (or has it?)
Unfortunately if the dizzy has expired there isn't really a bargain way to fix it. If you source one from a breakers it probably wont be that cheap(I think I was quoted over £100), you probably wont get any guarantee, and there is no way of telling how much life there is left in it. If you think its...

Re: Erk! Induction kit install gone wrong! (or has it?)
If it is same part no. and serviceable the yes it should solve problem. Just be aware that dizzy failure is a common problem with Mazda V6s and you may be buying a second hand dizzy that is on its last legs.

Re: Erk! Induction kit install gone wrong! (or has it?)
It does sound very much like dizzy failure. Gone through it myself, virtually identical characteristics If you need distributors or parts you could try : http://www.probedistributors.co.uk/ They can supply new, recon, used & parts at very reasonable prices. They will test your dizzy if you send i...

Re: Magnetic Oil Drain Plug's on ebay....
I can't really comment on their use on car engines, but I have seviced aero gas turbine engines for a number of years and they make extensive use of magnetic sump plugs in the oil sumps of the engines and any ancilliaries that have oil lubrication. These were used more as an indicator of impending c...

Re: klze chipped ecu's
If you mean replacing the EPROM in your K8 ECU with one programmed with a STANDARD KL36/KL31 bin file, then yes in my opinion(having tried it) it runs equally as well with a KL36 ECU or a K8 ECU with KL36 EPROM. There is no perceptable difference in performance, economy or driving characteristics. If...

Re: Where can I BUY the UK workshop manual.
Genuine Mazda MX-3 workshop manuals can be bought through Mazda but they cost an absolute fortune. I don't think Haynes sell one specific to mx3 closest they have would be for MX-6,626,Probe, you can get them here on ebay : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18414&item=...

Re: OBDII (or not) in Europe
Not exactly what your lookin for but I'll throw in my 2 cents worth : My car is a UK model registered July 1994(probably means that spec wise it is early 1994). Was fitted with immobiliser, but I'm sure that the previous owner(owned from new) said it was fitted after purchase of car. So assume it wa...

Re: KL03 VAF QUESTION - Just a straight answer please.
Run your car with: KLDE ECU and KLDE VAF or KLZE(KL31 or KL36)ECU and JE50 VAF If the experience of others on this forum is anything to go on then running KLDE engine on 1.8 ECU and JE50 vaf probably means it's running ultra rich I can't remember the exact post but someone on here dynoed KLZE with 1...
