UK Distributor / Dizzy Suppliers & Repair
Dizzy(usually coil and/or ignitor) failures are very common on early mx-3s. Late (1994 onwards)MX-3s have an improved/more reliable dizzy but there is a difference in the wiring so they are not directly interchangeable. I would avoid getting a second hand one from a breakers as it could be on the ve...

I was told by the parts man at my Mazda dealer that the letter at the end of the K*** 18 811? signified a superceding mod state. i.e. B came after A, C came after B and so on. So the higher the letter the newer the ECU and the higher the mod state. I was led to believe that as long as the K*** 18 81...

KL31 ECU
All I can say is Nippon Spares were a company recommended to me by a member over at MX6.com. He had used them to source a KL31 ECU and had been happy with the service from them. VAT is charged at 17.5%, so £50 + VAT is £58.75. From my experience of pricing/buying Mazda ECU that is pretty damn cheap ...

Sorry, my mistake it wasn't the fuel pump that was changed it was the fuel pressure regulator. Oh... and the guy who did it is 'Black Magic' or Bastian. Look at the 6th post in this thread

If you are looking to get an ECU you could try this company http://www.nipponspares.com A bloke on MX6.com recommended them. They supplied him with a KL36 ECU for £117(pretty cheap for the UK). They say they can supply either KL31 or KL36, and they have them in stock. another option is this company ...

KLZE ECU
I have run my car with a K8 ECU with a KL36 EPROM fitted with no problems at all and have had the chance to compare the overall engine behaviour/performance(emissions,mpg,idling,acceleration) with when it is run on a KL36 ECU and if there was a difference between the the two I couldn't tell. The mai...

KLZE in Europe
I've got the KLZE as well but mine is a 1994 so it uses the 3 connector ECU and so I use KL31/KL36 ECU or a remapped(to KL36) K8 ECU with the standard MX-3 VAF(JE50). I would have thought your options for ECU/VAF combo would be : 1/ As Bastian said a KL62 ECU with MAF, but that might require rewirin...

Re: PERMENANT Distributor ignition module FIX & External
Would this cap be suitable for the mod ???
Looks like it has 7 towers/connectors, and it is a helluva lot cheaper than probesports one
