Re: Where to get???PLUMBING
Road Race Engineering has a huge assortment of lightweight intake/intercooler piping. When setting up my 2.5 inch intake, i noticed that it was atleast half as heavy as the pipe that is my 3 inch exhaust. You can get elbows that are either metal or rubberized plastic, but i would suggest they metal ...

spark miss with e6k and msd 6a
I installed my msd 6a ignition w/ blaster coil (used adapter tower on distributor) and it misses. It misses some at idle and lots above 2000 rpm. Fuel seems ok (by O2 sensor) and adjusting away from my current ign map seems to only worsen the problem. Also, instead of using a base trigger angle of 7...

Re: ?'s about haltek stand alone
I am also running a haltech on my GTX (it's a new setup) anyway, I have the E6k, not the X and I would like some of your maps if you don't mind.

E6K and speedo/tach
I see that the speedo and tach get their input from the ECU which gets it's from sensors. With the E6K and the stock ECU gone, how do you run the speedo and tach? Does the E6K do it for you?

HELP broke bpt
i was adjusting the mix by adding a variable resistor in series with the coolant temp sensor (yea, it's a no-no but i'm getting low on cash) and everything was fine and as i was getting ready for a drive test the car just died. it turns over and at first would sort of sputter and run extremely rough...

Re: Another BPT ?
also i have a full 3" exhaust from the turbo back that ends in an apexi N1 can. i welded it myself, i got the 3" braided flex pipe from rre. the intake is 2.5" and is straight through (no intercooler - wich is bad if you are running lean) and i have a pretty purple greddy bov. which i...

Re: Another BPT ?
i have just completed my bpt swap and am running the stock ecu from a 1.6 dohc (1994). it runs really lean on acceleration, but idles fine. corksport damaged the iac valve and i did not connect any of the prc solenoids or purge or vics (doesn't exist on this engine) or the egr (doesn't exist here ei...

Re: help (with B6T swap)!
If it seems to sputter but just won't run on it's own (and you've got spark and fuel) make absolutely certain that the cam sprockets are not off by just 1 tooth. The engine will barley run (or just barley not run/idle) if you have one of the cams off.

quick question, by inline, you mean works in serial with existing fuel pump, and is universal?

Re: cv axles and FPR
You don't need a special tool. I did it just fine with 2 crowbars, just be careful in 4 areas:
1) The rubber bushings (or whatever they are) that grease the stub that comes out of the ball joint are easily damaged by the crow bar, make sure to keep the crowbar from ripping them.
2) The threads a...

Re: turbo plumbing
well, neither of the turbo's coolant lines actually face the block, they both point toward the tranny, but one is closer. i will assume this is what you mean.
also, where on the block is the oil feed?, i don't see a drain on the pan either, but there is one really close to the pan (about 1 inch up...

Re: werid sound
a new cv axel from the salvage yard is about $50-$70 usd, and refurbished from the auto parts store is about $100-135 with core. going to a mechanic is about $250 parts and labor. I see you are using km's and not mi's so you'll have to convert that to cnd. The replacement of driver side is very easy...
