Very nice to see that someone has taken the time to make them. Any radial or axial load stats?
Now start making some for the rear suspension arms with spherical bearings!

Re: [FS] 1994 Mx-3 track/street car $5500
I have aqquired a second Mx-3, a v-6 that will be used for track-only duty. One of them has to go and I chose the 94 Mx.
I have major plans for the 93 v-6. If everything goes accordingly, it will be the baddest car I will ever build. I can't get too far into details yet...

[FS] 1994 Mx-3 track/street car $5500
It breaks my heart to see the car go but I must part with it. A brief history - The car was purchased new in 94 and has never been in a collision. The paint is original with the exception of the rear hatch, wing, and front bumper. I've had alot of fun with this car on the street and the track and I'...

Re: General question on lowering
You can lower it pretty low and a 45 offset wheel should not rub the fender. You may want to use a little more static negative camber, but not too much. You just have to worry about bumpsteer and bottoming out the struts when going way to low. It will handle worse at that point, obviously.

Re: 93 mx3 4 cyl-auto trans is junk-how hard is it to swap 5
Don't forget the clutch slave cyl, lines and the slave cyl that mounts to the firewall. There is a hole drilled out allready in the firewall and it just has a plate where the master would go. Also, the brake resevoir shares the same fluid as the clutch hydraulics. You don't need another wiring harne...

Get a new tensioner. The T belt is supposed to last 70k and should be tight.

Re: is the v6 a interference engine
Well it's not really engineered with the aim of being non-interferance. It's engineered with a specific shaped piston and combustion chamber to create a particular pattern of flame propegation during combustion and a bore to stroke ratio that creates a desireable torque curve. It's non-interference...

Re: over steer?
I've noticed only through tight, shorter radius corners, the car tends to oversteer. However, going through higher speed corners, the car tends to understeer heavily. High have the usual mods, MS struts, GC coilovers, Whiteline rear sway bar. MS rear arms and bushings. Kumho 710 slicks. My car still...

Reverse lights on all the time after Kia trans swap
Just seeing if any of you guys have had a similar problem. I just finished swapping out my protege trans for a 97 Kia trans. I used the reverse light switch from my Protege and noticed that the reverse lights stay on all the time. I have the reverse light switch that came with the Kia gearbox and I ...

Re: Chassis Stiffening, Suspension Ideas, Handling Improvements
Just my .02. I've been an Mx-3 owner for a very long time and during that time, I have come to realize certain handling problems with our cars. I have done everything to make a FWD Mx-3 handle as good as it's going to get, well almost.. I've done chassis stiffening, rear sway bar, bushing upgrades, ...
