Re: which swap or turbo?
The thing is, I have the 1.6 DOHC in the car now and I have the 1.8 SOHC in a protege right now. I was wondering if it was better to turbo the 1.6 DOHC or the 1.8 SOHC. The second part is since I have the 1.8 SOHC is it possible to change the heads to DOHC and then turbo it because I know the 1.8DOH...

which swap or turbo?
I am getting a turbo setup and was wondering which gives the best results, turbo the 95 RS or swapping in a 1.8 sohc from a 93 protege and then putting a turbo on that? Also I was wondering if the dohc head from the 1.8 protege will bolt to the sohc engine (possibly the third choice)? Any info wolud...

Re: removing hatch garnish
I just put silicone in the bolt holes until I got my spoiler and painted it. It had the silicone on for about 1 week and it didn't leak at all, just make sure you fill the holes completely and when you get the spoiler, you just have to pop out the silicone with a pen or something like that. Good luck.

Re: The gas price rise to 89.9 in BC
$2.19US per gallon is about $0.55US (81.6CND cents)per liter so that is a bit less than what us canadians are paying (89.9CND cents/liter self serve, or even more if you want full serve, in Nova Scotia since about the end of January). That is about $2.42US Per Gallon. I could only wish that I could ...

Re: need help mounting a gs spoiler on a rs
All you have to do is open your hatch and remove your plastic interior pieces where your 3rd brake light is, the small one that gives you access to the brake light and one long one that is the width of your trunk. There are a few small bolts that hold the garnish on so remove them then pull slightly...

Re: rear defroster , and i have searched for an answer
If you push the button in and hear the relay clicking then all you have to do is follow the previous instructions and you can find the right relay by placing your hand or fingerson each relay while pushing the button and you should be able to feel the relay latching.<p>If you do not hear the relay l...

protege motor swap?
I was just wondering what are all the parts from the protege do I need to do this and what parts from my '95 RS do I keep? I am trying to get the DOHC 1.8L 4cyl Protege for the swap around '93 or so.

Re: Noooooo!!! The infamous Idle problem has hit me!
It sounds like the same problem I had with my protege. It was the water thermo switch. this caused the car to idle up and down, stall out a couple of times and make the car run rich or lean depending on how the switch goes bad. This switch is part of the "choke system" for the car. It is o...
