Re: led's taillights?
If you want LED taillights you can't just replace the halogen bulb with some replacement with about 10 LEDs in it. The only option you have is retro-fitting in some REAL LED modules that truckers have been using for years. You can find some at Grote , as well as searching for "LED truck taillig...

Re: serious retro projector questions
No. I saw them on Hermans's forum a while ago. He posted them. They were a complete sealed unit, like Hella 90mm units. I just consider them 3rd Gens since they're a different bi-xenon design than previous ones. You can buy them as well, but finding them is the hardest part about it. They're too new...

Re: serious retro projector questions
I have 2nd Gen Halla Bi-Xenons. If you can get some, get 3rd gens, but they are hard to find so far since they are very new. Make sure you leave yourself LOTS of time when doing this. Plan it out before hand, and it would help if you can problem solve on the fly really well too. I've changed me set-...

Re: Opinions on best fog light...
Good to know Taras. However, if this is illegal, how come almost every new car made nowadays have fog lights that come on almost all the time? I doubt you'd ever get hassled for this though as you are allowed to have two auxillary lights on with your headlights, and fog lights are ok in that matter....

Re: Dome light/open door problems
I have the same problem that occurs every now and then. The door pins frequently get dirty and don't make a good connection because of where they're situated. If you have cleaned them up and made sure they work properly, then there's a break in the circuit somewhere between the door pin and the bulb.

Have you tried junkyards at all?
You can find stuff like that all the time there so long as they have an MX-3 in the yard.
If not, what about just any general 1197 bulb socket? Try that too.

Re: Headlights custom made?! anyone
There's an easier way to do it, rather than just slapping some fiberglass on it.
I'd suggest using a lexan backing plate for the projectors to mount on. Much more solid, and much easier to work with initially.

Really, they wear out that quickly?Originally posted by torpedan:
Wires tend to wear out anywhere from 30k+ miles or less if you race hard.
I'd doubt that, but who knows. Are these high performance wires or stock replacements that wear out that quickly???

Hey, cool find.
Too bad there's no green.
Are you sure they use LEDs? I thought it said neon. Most use a small neon tube inside.
