Remember you are removing your vibration dampener when you change the pulley. It may go faster, but also may idle like crap.

For best results, your whole rotating assembly should be balanced... but hey try it out and if it doesn't work just sell it on eBay.

Its a non-interference motor. Impossible to bend the valves.

I'm assuming you fixed the timing. Now that it's all together make sure you have the spark plug wires in the right order on the distributor... that's a common mistake made when putting it back together. Hopefully you didn't bend any valves when you had the timing off... that would make it run like s...

I think you have the sprockets on wrong then... on the exhaust cam the pin on the cam should line up with the E, and on the intake cam the pin on the cam should line up with the I. Then for timing, I believe you put the corresponding pins at 12 o' clock... and line up the E and I in the picture belo...

Oh... I guess there is no Vancouver convoy. Seems like everyone is leaving at different times. I just thought that if people were meeting somewhere that I'd show up and say hi hi and have a safe trip. Just wanted to meet a few new faces. I am not going to Kelowna as I have far too much stuff to take...

When and where is the Vancouver convoy meeting? I can't make it out to Kelowna, but I thought I'd show face before you leave... that is if you are meeting up and making a convoy.

Use metholhydrate... I think that's what it's called, could be the same stuff.

Take off your air filter, fill up with Mohawk gas, make sure you don't have dirty oil, ie. a recent oil change.

Knife-Edge or Crank Scraper?

Do I knife-edge the whole crank, or just knife-edge the leading edge and use a crank scraper? Yes yes, I could knife-edge the whole crank and use a crank scraper... but then I'd have to make one up... which I don't really wanna do, but I could. I found a company that makes crank scrapers. Ishihara-J...

When I talked to Derrick @ Corksport... he said that there were only a couple left as they were discontinuing them. I tried to get them thru a Mazda dealer down in the states, but they said I had to go through Mazdaspeed. If you want a set you better call Corksport and find out if they have anymore....
