Update!
Got a voicemail from the CarQuest regional manager while at work. He apologized for my experience and asked me to call him back when it was convenient for me. My manager wanted to know what he had to say, so she excused me from the counter to call him back. The dude was very nice, and ...

See, that's awesome. Advance Auto is like that for me. They believe me and do an awesome job finding me discounts and coupons. It just took practically living there. Because of that, I haven't yet visited our brand-new Autozone. I feel like I'm cheating.

Re: Official Rant thread.
I feel like this happens to me at almost every parts/paint shop i go to. The guys behind the counters treat me like a monkey when I give them specifically what I need. Just a month or so ago I wanted a universal oxygen sensor by bosch and I gave the dude the exact part number, the same one on their ...

Re: Official Rant thread.
I might try to get a hold of corporate. I've heard stories about how the staff in general is "really weird to you unless you are their friend" from others but nothing quite like that. It makes me think more and more that the dude had a problem with girls; possibly especially pink-haired ones. I don ...

I have personally never played with turbo-ing so what I have to say is not much help, but I have been around and involved with a turbo install. Definitely read everything ever and research, research, research! My SO read everything for months before attempting it and is still only ...

Re: Chapstickaddict's '92 GS
Thanks, all!
I know this isn't very interesting as far as worklogs go (woo new brakes wow how amazing), but this is the work I have to do and I feel like it really doesn't require much technical discussion and doesn't really require comments from other members. Maybe someday I'll have something ...

Re: Official Rant thread.
Okay, so I've been poking through the forums for a while and discovered this thread. Went several few pages back and saw some huge discussion about "quality" posts in the worklogs. So first, as a dumb newbie, I would like to apologize for any dumb-noob posts and the lame quality worklog I have. I'm ...

Re: Chapstickaddict's '92 GS
Bonus video of how my car sounds currently. Sorry about the awkward shot, I didn't really know where to point it. We took off the ugly muffler/tailpipe combo, (which contained the hangers) and will be slapping SO's old exhaust from his Del Sol onto it. So it's obnoxious and has bonus rattling until ...

Re: Chapstickaddict's '92 GS
Back on the road! Oh my god I can't even begin to describe how happy I am to have my OWN VEHICLE again. I've pretty much always had a car since I was 16 (minus a couple weeks here and there) and I can't stand having to depend on others for rides and not having the ability to just...go somewhere. I ...

Re: Hello from Michigan!
So I forgot to turn on reply notifications. I really like the color of her MX3! There's one that color in town but all the paint is peeling off the hood and I get sad every time I see it. There are three in Marquette as far as I know; mine, the sad purple one, and my boyfriend's old Herculiner'd one ...

I'm not going to take you up on that, because then I would likely be out $100

Re: Chapstickaddict's '92 GS
Got the inside stuff pulled to fix the shifter. The Monster can is mine, sorry 'bout that. Also sorry about the weird hairy center console area; ew. I've had the car for maybe a month now and really it's been sitting around most of that time. I think I'm going to have it detailed, since it seems so ...

Re: Chapstickaddict's '92 GS
Stiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiill waiting for garage space. Since my car is the car that works the most right now, it's being the daily driver while waiting to be fixed. In the meantime, I was gifted a sticker and so at least it looks cool. (I think)
