Smart Key System
Has anyone thought of installing a Smart-Key system in our MX-3? I'm refering to the type with a proximity door sensor that senses when you are close and unlocks as you touch the door handle. Once inside, it senses you are in the vehicle and sets the Start-Button Ignition on standby. The vehicle is...

Re: Kelowna meet 2010
I think that would work alright for us. As long as I don't travel on the Swiss passport and we can get a passport for the little one on the way before the trip.

Re: Kelowna meet 2010
Well, I did find some stuff that is doable but still on the pricey side. I found some vacation homes and cabins around Christina Lake, BC that looks nice but it would be dependant on if they would allow people to set up tents outside and things like that. Most of the rates I've seen are charged on ...

Re: [GI] Indiglo HVAC Panels, Who wants me to bring them back?
It would be nice if Speed Hut just kept the same template from last time and put it on their site. Then we could order whatever color combination we wanted. I want it to be Silver with Dark-Blue font (Reverse Glow) to match the rest of my gauges and cluster. Everyone is going to have a different pr...

Re: Kelowna meet 2010
I'd be alright with a different venue since Kelowna always seems to be such a gong-show to organize. Kelowna is definitely becoming a huge tourism hotspot, so everything is always booked and crowded. I've been to Nakusp before and it is a nice quiet little area. Just don't forget bug spray. I'll se...

Re: MX-West Ownership
Well it looks like Tyler Hamm has won the vote of people. So, if everyone is happy with this (including Tyler), I can proceed with transitioning everything over. The runner up votes would be the likely candidates to run as VP for the respective region. Tyler can run a follow-up poll if need be to s...

Re: anyone in calgary?
Once that is fixed, that should fix the idle issue. After I would suggest disconnecting the battery and stepping on the brake for 30 seconds to fully clear the ECU. Then drive it and see if you still get a sensor error. Most cases, the sensor is either dirty or just getting old and the electronic re...

Re: My KLZE in a Boat
I mentioned it to him before, but didn't get much of a response. I think boats aren't really his forte. Not really mine either, but I have the boat... might as well do something with it.

Re: MX-West Ownership
I know some of the people on the list would be willing, but others not so much. Like I said, this is just a visual aid to seeing who club members would prefer. The MX-West site is http://www.mx-west.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, as for membership, hang tight on that. ...

MX-West Ownership
Hi Everyone, As a few of you may know, Kevin Gee has recently passed the remaining control of MX-West on to me. But unfortunately, due to me being a one man show, this has not been an easy nor successful task on my behalf. On that note, I would like to extend a big thank-you to Jesse Krsa of Albert...

Re: My KLZE in a Boat
It is hard to say. It is definitely a lot of work, but not impossible. Easier than a KLZE turbo upgrade in my opinion, but it can be difficult as it hasn't been done before. Just need to fall back on my experience with mechanical and electrical to get this right. Hopefully Curt and maybe even Tyler ...

Re: My KLZE in a Boat
Well since this is a Stern-drive setup, it should make this relatively simple from the fitment side of things. If I can find myself a sterndrive assembly for a decent price, I will surely consider this. http://www.mercurymarine.com/_media/images/engines/inboards/sterndrives/engines/alpha_one_hero.jpg

My KLZE in a Boat
Hi Everyone, I was at the last western annual MX-3 Meet in Kelowna, BC and a few of us guys were playing with some ideas. I have a white MX-3 which has a beautifully rebuilt KLZE in it, but the car is unfortunately rusting to pieces. (Didn't know it came from Ontario until it was too late). Anyways,...
