Re: Is an unrepairable MX-3 worth parting?
Its an automatic, and Im thinking I m going to bring it to the scrap yard. I don't think many people around here are looking for parts and shipping charges will be more expensive then parts themselves.

Is an unrepairable MX-3 worth parting?
Hi,
I have a 1994 Mazda Mx-3 4cyl, it is beyond repair due to rust issues. It has a good interior, and runs ok. Is it worth parting out? Or should I just scrap it?
I know that's not a lot of information but I can try to answer any questions.
Thanks

Re: I BOUGHT MY FIRST mx3
Yah Savin was right. And no it wouldn't pass inspection, besides the frame rail the control arms, and the springs are bad too.

Re: I BOUGHT MY FIRST mx3
So if my car is a base 1994 4cyl with a good motor, and transmission, and good glass, fair seats, and a very nice 1994+ style dash, what ballpark should I be asking for it as a whole?

Re: I BOUGHT MY FIRST mx3
Ok thanks, the only problem is I live in Maine and I don't think there is a big market for them here. Are there maybe other vehicles some of these parts might fit?

Re: How do you remove the gas tank?
Thanks guys I'll give it my best. I'm gonna have my frame rails replaced by my uncle, and I want to leave as little work for him as possible.

Re: I BOUGHT MY FIRST mx3
Yah it's a real bummer looking at the outside you'd never guess there was a spot of rust on it. The guy I bought it from had just replaced the water pump and the timing belt to. I like the rims alot to, thanks, but they are pretty scuffed up and covered in pitch( which you can't see in the photos). ...
