If you're buying a lot of them rock auto is good. I bought 54 and with shipping I paid less then 1.75 a piece for bkr7e plugs from NGK.

Just in my experience, it's fairly easy to remove a k8 without removing a crossmember, just leave the mount on the engine but installing it without removing the crossmember is a PITA.

Might save you some time if pulling an engine and transaxle from a JY or parts car.

Do it right and do it once, the others can flame you but I don't think you're doing anything wrong. For the engine, I would not bother rebuilding a K8, when my K8 died I just stuck another one in from a parts car but if I couldn't get the parts car I would have grabbed a KL-DE for >$500 and called i...

I'd pull the rad and fan assembly to pull it out of the top, lining up a trans on the bottom can be a massive f---ing pain in the a--. Get an extra set of hands to guide it and you'll be set, not much more work to pull rad and fans, like six small ten mm bolts on the top of the rad support.

Something something 250whp something something bolt on turbos something something.


For those of you who want a bit more advanced discussion there's another group called the "real BG chassis enthusiasts" but you need to be added to it. That group is a lot of fun too.

It's actually funny how ridiculous that group is(although I contribute to the ridiculousness plenty so I can't judge) compared to the clubprotege one and the BG one. Its a great old time every time something goes down in that group.

Probe trans will work I'm an mx3. I think you will need the trans side mount too though. I'm also like 85 percent sure k8 axles won't work though.

I'd say get it. Spare trans tha gut your car are always nice.

Both shades are gone, threw away all of the K8 parts, found a couple sets of OEM NA headlights if anyone needs a set, free locally or 10 bucks plus shipping if you're elsewhere. Wraparound is packed up and I'll be taking it down to the post office to get a couple quotes but it's looking like $150 sh...
