Re: Air/Fuel ratio problems
Well I think I must have something else going on. The plugs look fine and are gapped correctly. The TPS seems to be adjusted as close as I can get it and verified it with the fan trick. I adjusted the timing again and tried to adjust the idle screw but I couldn't get it to idle smooth. I guess I wil...

Re: Air/Fuel ratio problems
Thanks for the direction. I do have a timing light, meter, and feeler gauges just not the specialty tools the manuals were referring to. I will have to work on it this weekend and report back my findings.

Re: 93 MX-3 V6 hesitation issue(edited4/25/12)
I've been wondering about the distributor. Haven't tested mine yet though. Yes cars are scarce in the junk yards out here to. When I was checking prices I found some on eBay. You may want to look there too. I'm in the same boat, don't have the money to just keep throwing at it.

Do you have any updates to report on your hesitation issues? I have been chasing the same problem for quite some time now and thought I'd see if you stumbled onto the solution.

Re: Air/Fuel ratio problems
Is there any way of adjusting the idle without a tachometer? I do not have access to one. The online manual lists some pretty specific tools that I would think most people don't have or have access to. Any other ways to do the tune up without these? On a different note is there a difference in EGR's...

Re: Air/Fuel ratio problems
When you say idle screw I'm assuming you are referring to the one that is vertical and not the throttle stop?

Re: Air/Fuel ratio problems
Was able to rule out the O2 sensors today. Got them installed, took a test drive, and the problems still persist. I guess next I'll have to do an inspection on the spark plugs.

Re: RS vs GS gauge clusters....different?
Got the GS cluster swapped over and it seems to have fixed the high rpm issues I was having. Thank you for the information.

[WTB] KL-DE 5 speed trans speed sensor
I am looking for a working transmission speed sensor for a KL-DE 5 speed. The transmission was originally out of a 97 Ford Probe. Let me know what you have. Thanks

Re: MX-3 custom headlight/tailights questions -how did he do
By the looks of the youtube video, the front bumper cover is off of what looks to be an Acura RSX along with the headlights. Yes you can tell by the primer/freshly ground metal that the hood and fenders were cut and rewelded in the shape they needed to fit around the headlights. By the looks of the ...

Re: MX-3 custom headlight/tailights questions -how did he do
You would need to be an experienced body man or have an endless bank account for someone else to do it. Looks like all he did was graphed a different front bumper on and modified the hood and fenders to fit the new headlights. The tail lights look pure custom made.

Found a GS at the local salvage yard today with the cluster in tact. Thanks crazycanadian for the offer on your cluster.

Re: intake upgrade
When I was running my DOHC B6 I made my own intake with some exhaust pipe I had bent at a local exhaust shop. By a couple steel fittings you can cut up and weld on to the tube for the vacuum lines and you are pretty much done. Only other thing you'll need is a few couplers to hold everything togethe...
