Rich, it is none of your concern as to what I do with my money, I don't see that there was any reason for your comment. With respect to that comment, I do have the money to waste and I do enjoy enjoy doing so. If I choose to waste it on frivelous things, that is my business, therefore I will not put...

Re: What Octane does a 92' mx-3 GS call for?
Right now I am using 124 Octane. I normally only use it in my race car during the summer months but I figured what the hell. I changed the valves, etc. to Titanium to avoid burning them and I tell you it sure makes a hell of a difference. Just too bad it is close to 12.00 Canadian per gallon or 2.75...

Re: KL-ZE @ Nippon Motors, good place to buy?
In November I replaced the motor in my MX-3, I purchased it from Nippon Motors in toronto Canada, I was quite impressed with the price and service. I wasn't however impressed at all with the quality. I had to replace the motor a second time just two weeks ago. It was under warranty still but instead...

Re: Tick while turning
It is definately the CV Joint that is making those noises you hear. I have worked on many Mazdas that had the same problem. I am even going out to my shop tonight to change the right outer-most CV Joint on my MX-3. You had better get it replaced ASAP. If you let it go too long it will eventually let...

Re: unemployed and bored... the simple things..
don't bother painting the exhaust system, regardless of what type of paint you get it will just burn off in a matter of hours, especially near the cat. converter, and what ever doesn't burn off right away will just eventually flake and rust again witht he heat and elements of the weather. as far as ...

Re: RAINBOW headlights
goto your local auto parts detailing supplier and pick up a couple exenon bulbs that actually state "ultra blue vision" these are the ones that give you the rainbow effect yet when driving, you don't see the rainbow you see an ultra brilliant white light as you are actually behind the bulbs.

Re: Painting the interior
Eric, in order to paint your dash board you need a good quality vynil paint, I did that once to a car of mine over 6 years ago and to this day it still looks as though i had just done it yesterday. The brand of the paint is called "Mar-hyde" which is available in a wide variety of colours,...

Re: Restoring and painting rims
Brainless, take the rims to a place that does sand blasting and have them "bead blast" them with glass or plastibead and then have them Uerothane the rims, once dried they will look brand new.

Re: tick tick tick tick dammit
jeepdave, just by the way you described the "ticking" noise you have and the fact that one will not hold pressure, i think it is safe to safe that the problem is not the rockers but more so the lifters. It is too bad you are a great distance away because i have a complete set of lifters ju...

Re: Need Basic Info About Buying a mx-3
You might also want to be sure to pull a spark plug or two out and carefully and closely inspect them for oil and ash deposits. According to the Mazda dealer in Stratford Ontario some MX-3's have a nasty habbit of the vavle guide wearing excessively in the rear bank. I had oil burning in myine befor...
