Probably not a good idea if you're thinking of towing the car on a trailer...., that is a LOT of weight for the MX-3 to handle, not just pulling but stopping as well. It might be a better idea to get the car transported to you, or if it is driveable, fly there n drive back FWIW, my towbar connected ...

If the whole lot has gone then my guess would be the headlamp stalk is buggered...., it happened to me before.

A quick fix would be to just pull the plug, it's behind the little panel under the fuse box (at least it is in RHD cars) I'm pretty sure everything else functions ok, if not, have a look in the wiring diagram in the online manual on MX-3.com homepage for the chime. This is just suggested as a tempor...

Get a harness adapter from an audio shop (if the car still has the OEM headunit), this will make installation plug n play, you can even get specialised ones for your headunit too getting the OEM headunit out can be nasty, i got some special tools with my new headunit, basically they are thin strips ...

Kinda depends where you are, and what you're actually looking for.

Alot of parts are interchangeable with the Mazda 323/Familia BG, some parts even BF models (or Ford Laser)

There's a wiring diagram in the online shop manual It's probably what Kirk said...., the door switch shorting out *edit* I was just txting the new owner of my car and i remembered something...., i had disconnected the door buzzer on my car, try this....., under the fuse box there is a long-ish conne...

If all else fails, chuck a huuuuuge fuse in there n see what melts/catches fire/blows up....., that should pinpoint it no worries! :lol:
