Re: Battery is Draining hwile car is off

check to see the alternator is working, voltage across battery terminals should be more then 14v whilst car is running.

how long ago was the stereo/alarm installed?

what was the most recent work you have done to the car?

Re: Biggest wheel size

That's an interesting front kit, i like the way the airflow to the radiator is blocked off :confused2:

even without wierd offsets or spacers, if you choose your rims carefully you should still be able to get a decent lip, after all, we've only got tiny brakes and calipers to allow for

Re: Stock air intake duct

If you have a proper CAI then yes you can expect a gain, but with that you usually lose some peace-of-mind ie; you now have to dodge puddles etc. but mostly people just stick on a pod filter and tell everyone they're pushing an extra 20 horses! :roll: as for the larger TB, it's not something i'd eve...

Re: Stock air intake duct

Nope, that about sums it up :D

I've tried all kinds of variations of intake, the best by far is a simple K&N filter in the stock airbox. It doesn't look fast, but it works.

Re: Biggest wheel size

Probably your best bet is to see the specialists, a mag shop or something, get some measurements done. With it being for shows it wouldn't have to be practical (or legal) so you could get a huge (or tiny, i forget which way it goes lol) offset and roll the guards

Re: need a tranny to hold 450wHP

I know this may sound random, but have a read through the loooooong TPS thread, KiwiMx3 was building a drag MX3 and posted some info in there...., actually, have a check thru some of his posts, there's tidbits of info everywhere lol! most of his stuff was homemade or custom-made

Re: 323 awd -> MX3?

Hmmm, the only MPV's i've seen are the 3.0 V6 :shrug: but maybe the US-spec cars are different? Without doing any ACTUAL research, i'm pretty sure even the KF Vitara/Proceeds were auto only. Kinda ironic really, Mazda made crappy auto gearboxes and then fitted them to frickn everything! Hmmm, i can'...

As much as i don't know how good a deal $1000 is...., i'd be a lil cautious, rotaries can get pretty expensive if poorly maintained

Nope, it reads it as an error and dumps fuel into the engine...., sort of a safety thing

Re: KL-DE needs to run on an OEM KL-08 computer HOW?

The K8 tranny is controlled by a seperate TCU (located under the ashtray), unfortunately this makes it incompatable (not 100% of course) with KF/KL ecu's, these ecu's are designed to run the tranny without a seperate TCU. However, this isn't the end of the world for you, you can either say 'F*%k it,...

Re: 323 awd -> MX3?

Yeah, i think there's a couple of AWD RS MX3's on here, maybe they can help? If you're wanting to stay V6, then you may want to look at the Mazda Capella wagon, or the Mazda Proceed/Suzuki Vitara (early models used the KF engine), they are probably JDM-only models though oh, that MPS was a show car,...

Re: Car not even trying to start!

the oil is probably just the valve cover gasket leaking, pretty common problem, not a big deal to fix (except for the rear one lol!)

as for the rest, my suggestion would be to try a disty that you KNOW works, otherwise you could well end up chasing you tail for fricken ages.
