I would check your timing if it hesitates I just advanced my timing and I get off the line pull feels good .... well better haha

I would start with things u can do yourself remove every tube attached to the air intake box (not including the vacuum hose or the throttlebody) that'll help till you get a real intake. hollow out your cat and make your shifter a short throw using the faq I wrote 5 - 10hp without spending a cent hah...
