Re: My first mx3 build

I'm barley a mechanic so I cant help with your problems. However I would like to say that your car is looking pretty clean inside and out. How much rust (if any) have you found on the car?

Also I noticed the link of the motor you want took me to a 13B. What are your plains with this? :P

Re: At what point is it to much?

I did haha , it is as far out as I was able to get it. the dent is about 3 inches long, so from the edge, inwards. Which is right over the welds and where the front and back metal sit about 1 centimeter apart. I have tried getting inside the door and popping it out but that was a fail.

At what point is it to much?

Today i started repairing my dented door. the dent is right where the door meets the front finder. I would say the dent is about a inch inward. So a inch thick of bondo would be required to fix it. Would you do it? would it be worth it? or would you just replace the door? I think fixing it would be ...

Re: Arthur's 1993 mx-3 :]

Thanks mang, If you need help with something I'll try my best to get you informed or if you want pictures of something just let me know. The stuff I have fabricated is not perfect , don't let the pictures fool you. I had close to 0% experience with fabric in any way before this project. So I like th...

Re: Arthur's 1993 mx-3 :]

Today I got off work early :D Right away I wanted to get some work done knowing I had a good time span to get stuff done! I got my fabric and did the other panel, didn't take any pictures of the progress because it is just the other side flipped lol. Here is how it looks in the car. I'm very happy w...

Re: Arthur's 1993 mx-3 :]

haha thanks man , its no where near pro quality , but its my ride and I am happy with my home done results. The fabric, the glue got thick and messed up one spot but I'm not that worried about it. Where the fabric wrinkled from the curves i cut a line and glued one side over the other. If you really...

Re: Arthur's 1993 mx-3 :]

I tested the panel in the car! I haven't had time to cut out my tweeter spot or repaint the black. Had to see how it looked though and I say it looks pretty good. :] http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g127/killa-be-me/0510111855.jpg http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g127/killa-be-me/0510111847.jpg

Re: Arthur's 1993 mx-3 :]

I used the same fabric I used on the back seats for the middles of my back panels. I need to touch up the paint again though. I took 3M spray glue , used a putty knife to spread it around to a thin coat. put my fabric over it, then took the putty knife to get in the cracks. After it dried I took a x...

Re: Arthur's 1993 mx-3 :]

So I took my bumper and hood off today and painted it to see how a home paint job would turn out. It turned out pretty good actually. Next time I'm going to use the paint i used on the bumper for the hood and everything else. http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g127/killa-be-me/IMG_20110508_200404.jpg

Re: Arthur's 1993 mx-3 :]

Well seeing as I don't have any carpet, I decided to start sound proofing the car. I went to Lowes and apparently they do not sell peal and seal at ours. sadface but I did find something like it. It is $20 a roll for 15ft. I didn't take a picutre of the product but it's like air duct installation. S...
