Re: My V6 Has Problems, Someone help please

before you go replacing anything major, have it checked out by a mechanic you trust because I just had my car worked on by a great mechanic and he noticed my 94 GS had a loud tick in the engine so he checked it out. He found it was a normal thing among our cars, and while they did not do it brand ne...

Re: Driver's door power lock stuck?

my door locks were getting quite stiff to the point where I hade to replace my keys because they were all bent. I bought some powder graphite and squeezed it in there, the doors now open like a charm. I have to put more in every 6 months or so, but it's a cheap fix!!! That only works if it is stiff,...

Re: Valves cleaned/Idle problem

my mx-3 was donig the same thing, it would drop it's idle when I slowed down but wouldn't stall completely. Then it would just wave up and down. After time, it would stall ALL the time. When I took it to a mechanic I found out that the rubber boot that connects the air filter to the engine (I'm not ...

Re: Loud rumbling sound, wheel balance??

I would be suspicious except this is the mechanic that I've been going to since I started driving, and he has a very good reputation. But I still need advice!!! Time is running out. :(

Re: 6X9's

even though the hole isn't big enough for them, I tried 5x7's in the rear spots and they work great. They are a good quality speaker and you can still secure the cover over it. Looks nice, sounds great (the 2 600 watt subs in the trunk help it out too!!) :)

Re: Loud rumbling sound, wheel balance??

okay, rear wheel bearings are more expensive, I was just told that yesterday, is it just me or are mx-3's very expensive cars to buy parts for? Also, my mechanic can't figure out if it is the driver or passenger side wheel bearing (on the front). Neither tire has much give, how would you be sure? If...

Re: Loud rumbling sound, wheel balance??

So tell me what the difference is between the wheel bearing I'm getting and the "real" wheel bearing?

Re: Oil consumption

my mx-3 is losing oil too, I lose about 1/2 litre a month but not smoking. I had it checked out and found out my main seal has a small leek. Something to think about. ;)
