ok, coolio, ty! Sorry to be such a newbie, I'm a computer tech...mechanical stuff like this is a little deeper than I'm used to...and my mechanical buddy is out of the province on a work trip
I have tomorrow off, so I'll give 'er a good go at it tomorrow (hopefully it won't take me too long)

Okay, is there anything that I need to make sure I don't accidentally do when I'm messing around with the safety switch? i.e. if I was to remove it completely from the car (if this is possible), will everything go out of alignment then I'm really up the creek?

okay, he we go...I got elbows deep into the neutral safety switch, and found that the instructions on the K-103 page to be somewhat incomplete i.e. missing descriptions or pictures :(

Can you help me with the following steps?:

steps 1, 2 and 3 are simple enough...step 4 talks about a "neutral mark ...

well codes 2 and 16 are crankshaft position sensor and egr valve respectively, these will make the car run kinda crappy but not influence reverse. as for shifting not working right you can try to adjust the neutral safety switch the procedure is here;

My car is a 1993 MX-3 6cyl ATX. I have seen the online manuals here, but they say they're for a 1992/1995...which is this applicable for my 1993?

If so, the 272 pages is a bit much, any ideas which pages I will want to focus on for the removal part of this project?

Thank you for the quick reply's Savin...I went to both of those links, however, neither of them seemed to indicate that the codes were for my vehicle. The first link showed codes for "92-93 CODES (1.6L SOHC ENGINE)" and "94-96 CODES (1.6L DOHC ENGINE)" only (mine is the 1993 V6 1.8L DOHC no?).
