Re: very disappointed

I was told that the IM does make a big difference. 8-10 hp. But, that would not account for 1 second on your 1.4 mile. Traction could, but you dont have a 60 ft reading. Do you have a lot of wheel hop? Im using the stock k8 IM, though I have not raced mine yet at the track. note to self : go to cayu...

Re: very disappointed

Whats your setup. VAF -? ECU -k8 Stock clutch ? Stock exhaust (muffler and piping)? heavy stereo equip? I've been told that with the ze ecu, and the je50 VAF (stock k8 vaf) it shaves a good half a second off your 1/4 mile time. Also the stock exhaust setup is far too restrictive for the klze. Whats ...

Re: modifying mx3 prm to fit klze...

The thing is, its routed to the same area that the PRM was shoved into. Its still cold air for sure, not quite as deep as the prm went.

Re: modifying mx3 prm to fit klze...

Im bringing this one up from the grave! I recently upgraded my PRM CAI to a larger filter. About 3 times as large. I dont have a pic handy...but its a full size cone filter, k&N style. My butt dyno says that it has improved the top end acceleration, noticably in 2nd gear. I really do believe tha...

Re: KLZE opinion

yeah, there really is no question. It IS night and day. Second gear feels faster than first did with the k8. It sounds awesome as well.

Re: klze with k8ecu

which vaf are you using with the mx6 one? You have to use the 2.5 vaf. The 1.8 will throw codes and run like garbage.

Re: Why did you swap your engine?

Old one was burning oil, and its cheaper to buy a low km ze than to replace with a low km k8

Re: Just sold my MX-3 :(
