Do different year ignitions have different key sizes? Or do other cars such as the Protege have an ignition switch that can easily be modified to fit?

Since I have got the car I have had about five keys made, because they will either get bent by someone putting the long key barely in the door lock and bending it. disconnect your battery when the car is off if it stops having problems that means it was a power drain, if it still does not work then it is either your battery or alternator. It will suck to do but it will give you the answer.

That sensor causes the idle to bounce around a lot as well as just stop and start to bounce, my sensor went bad last summer.

A lot of used engine stores have equipment to make an engine run outside of the car, just got to a reputable place that offers a warranty as well as run the compression test. If thats good its a good engine.
