Re: Deal or no deal?

if its been sitting that long your probably looking at new wheel bearings and possibly calipers aswell. could also be rust buildup as well as dryrot in the mounts/bushings. give the car as best of an inspection before you buy it if you decide to go that route...

yes you should definitively explain what you used/how you did it... looks pretty pimp.

on the plus side, you have those ugly chrome rims you can ship the car with lol

Re: Need Help - Rear Passenger break sticks. Ideas?

4 things i know of that will cause a problem like this. 1. seized caliper, youve gone threw 3 so most likely not the case 2. seized ebrake cable. if it was that bad youd probably notice it engaging the brake when installing it- also unlikely 3. your brake pedal/booster input shaft isnt adjusted prop...

Re: Deal or no deal?

sounds to me like the tensioner failed which caused the belt to get caught in something and rip. theres no way to tell for sure until you get in there and look at it though. any weird noises while cranking? have you checked compression? if it is in fact just a timing belt its a decent deal. but the ...

Re: KLZE Shift points? Drag strip launch techniques?

ya id probably give up my mx3 for it. i was wondering.. are you planning on keeping this car forever or selling it off in the next couple years? from the amount of quality you've put in the build it looks like your making it to last. your car is probably as close to new as possible for a 20 year old...

Re: Issues related to O2 sensors

check the intake for the pcv on the back of the rear head. its on the back left of the intake manifold. that line looks like it could be prone to vacuum leaks.

Re: KLZE Shift points? Drag strip launch techniques?

dont know much about drag but i though the ze stops making power around 6500rpm, so youd probably want to shift around there. have a look on the racing forum. i think there was a topic like this back in the day... launch would probably be about 2500 rpm mid/ 3/4 throttle. youll have to experiment, e...

Re: Probinator Chip...

my stoker100 runs better then my probinator did. i dont know if the vris points were more accurate but the rpm maps in relation to throttle pressure became much smoother. that being said it throws the egr code. he said he deleted the programming for the egr but there must be some code in there he ca...

Re: Rockauto O2 sensors...which one to buy...

well the bosch are garbage so i definitely wouldnt recommend a noname brand. denso is the oem. either buy denso oems or denso universals. i have had alot of bad luck with o2 sensors. from now on i would only ever buy oem. i was also able to get them from amazon.com slightly cheaper then rockauto so ...

Re: New ECU = new fun :)

i guess its possible it could be a bad sensor. try unplugging the coolant sensors 1 at a time and seeing if they fix the problem. the fan would come on instantly but if it does it would make sense the sensor is faulty...
