Re: still burning too much gas...

thats why i said i cant confirm its sluggish. what i do know for sure is my fuel mileage is crap. in my head it makes sense that if its running that rich and burning way more fuel then it should then there has to be some kind of power loss aswell.

Re: still burning too much gas...

Ok, I've read this post and there's lots of,,,expert advise and I add myself to that list, . Can we do a summation that may actually nail this problem down. I vote that part of the problem is his 2.5" exhaust but I also feel one very important issue may of been over looked or I over look...

Re: still burning too much gas...

So I just got done reading the 8+ pages of your thread. You have failed to mention what plugs and wires you are running and when was the last time you did routine maintenance (fuel filter, TIMING BELT, TIMING, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coolant change, oil filter, etc). I know... its stupid to ask s...

Re: still burning too much gas...

Yes it does. But I'm using a de ecu/vaf. And I'm thinking k8 objectors would be a good way to ruin the engine. The idea is to get an ideal fuel trim, not go super lean.

Re: still burning too much gas...

ok so changing the ecu to a de one has had little to no impact. my fuel mileage computer is what made the biggest difference. however i have quit my delivery job and im doing more short trips rather then longer drivers so my mileage is getting horrible again. last tank was almost 13l/100km, 350km on...

Re: A Proper Big Brake Kit

i think most peoples desire for bigger brakes come from the pedal feel and nothing about the brakes. lets face it our pedals are spongy at best. you need to press them down quite a bite to get the brakes to come to life (compared to newer cars anyways). im not saying they feel like there's air in th...

Re: 94 Mazda MX - 3 GS vs 97 Honda Prelude TypeS

the simple fact is to get any kind of modest NA power from the k8, you need to rip it apart and build it from the ground up. no one i know have has done this as its expensive + the gains are minimal compared to a cheap de/ze swap. simply throwing a chip on the k8 or even a custom tune wont yield you...

Re: V6 fuel mileage

Anyone know how much of an impact on economy an improperly adjusted tps 8) could have with no noticeable effect on performance? My current tanks mileage was averaging close to 12l/100k. I unplugged it for shits and giggles and my.average has dropped to 11.5l/100k with more or less the same driving o...

Re: KL-ZE ignition timing problem.. any advice???

those two could affect it. could also be due to a vacuum leak or incorrect tps/idle speed. whats your ignition timing set at?
