Re: Funny but real swap question
some ebay headers had crappy quality control and didnt fit the engine properly as far as i know. something about them rubbing on the oil pan or being too short. the clearance issues with the cross member i believe had more to do with people having problems with turbos and larger piping, and not head...

Re: Interesting ways to kill a K8?
how about some atf instead of oil. the friction modifiers should wear it down pretty quick at full throttle. or something flammable in the intake. sand would be cool but id try and explode the engine rather then just kill it.

Re: Need Diagnostic Help w/1999 Millenia 2.5L; 2 cylinders '
i dont remember mine being that hard to get out. i gently grabbed the outside of the top with some water pump pliers and worked them back and forth while pulling up. some wd 40 should help get them out aswell. keep in mind if you do take them out youll probably want to replace the o rings. did they ...

Re: Need Diagnostic Help w/1999 Millenia 2.5L; 2 cylinders '
id confirm fuel first by pulling the plugs. if there is infact fuel id try shuffling the injectors in the rails which would tell you if they are spraying properly. its possible they are just sitting in the rails crooked or something...

Re: Need Diagnostic Help w/1999 Millenia 2.5L; 2 cylinders '
assuming your getting spark and compression like you say id think it would have to be fuel injector related. try cranking the engine once with the plugs out and see if you can smell raw fuel in those cylinders. how old is the disty cap? are plugs 4 and 6 sparking? i cant think of anything that would...

all k series sensors are the same. if you tie into the tps with power going to it and slowly open the throttle the voltage output of the sensor should be a linear smooth rate of increase with the throttle opening. any flat spots or drops means your sensor is bad. its easiest to do it with a lab scop...

I think it would be cheaper to buy plasti-dip in a can to do the whole car. Its the same product Its $5.98 CAD a can. So how many cans would it take? 30? The small kit they sell is $249 where did you find it for that much in canada? only place i could find with it was home hardware and they charged...

Re: still burning too much gas...
i havnt counted the number of turns but the idle sits steady at 650rpm and i dont believe the screw is too far in either direction.. i also agree the drag would have to be pretty hard and pretty obvious. it would make sense to have a drag issue within the transmission as the car rolls fine out of ge...

Re: still burning too much gas...
you wouldn't happen to have like...1000lbs of cargo in the back would you? nope. all i have in the trunk is maybe 10-15lbs of tools/oil and stuff like that, my fiberglass sub box in the spare tire well, the sub and 2 amps. total weight im guessing would be maybe 100lbs give or take 15lbs. then i ha...

Re: still burning too much gas...
I replaced the thermostat recently with no change. I have also tried with and without the prc without any noticeable difference. I'll have a look at the return line, but I've had the car on a hoist quite a bit and havnt noticed any leaks, or any signs of leaks. I want to have a look at any drag in t...

Re: still burning too much gas...
the exhaust is a little over a year old and id be extremely surprised if it was clogged. it has quite a bit of velocity/flow from it and doesnt sound clogged. i do have fairly thick (probably hollow) stainless steel tips so they might add to heat dissipation, but even the exhaust gas doesnt get very...

Re: still burning too much gas...
thats my cell phone so i dont have macro on it... the plugs are maybe 7 months old? my vacuum gauge is extremely sensitive to throttle, especially in higher gears. its weird cuz it acted completely different with the old chipped ecu. very slightly throttle changes, were talking barely increasing in ...
