MX-3 brakes are very adequate for our uses. Run good pads, fresh fluid, oem sized solid rotors, and SS lines if you'd like. nobody to my knowledge has used the ZX2 S/R springs, as that would require buying the springs. I'm not sure of the rates, and it would be easier to just match them with whichever MX-/Protege springs you like.

you are ALWAYS supposed to use bumpstops.
And you should cut them if you're lowering the car.
They are a saftey device to protect your struts when you hit something hard.

no, the Tokico ZX2 struts were the OEM strut for the ZX2 S/R. They were made by Tokico, but they were on the cars at the dealership.
