yeah that was one of the members over at mazdas247 he was in modified mag, his wasnt built for power as it was show, but yeah still takes a lot for the 2.0 to even come close to the ze, and the 1.6 is even worse. the swap has been done atleast a half dozen times in canada, and they have a good write...

I will only need new passenger mount, dont need custom axles the one from the 2.0 Protege 01-03 ES work perfect, the shift linkage is the same, etc. I will not need more then i would for a 2.0 swap. well for me to use the msp motor and turbo setup i need, motor, side motor mount, tranny, axles, the motor, ecu, wiring harness, turbo setup including all the intercooler stuff. when all said and done i would have a 2.0 barely capable of 200hp(safe boost on stock motor is 10psi) and all for the same...
