Update:
I didn't get the HID's or the projectors. I got a passenger headlamp for $30, and it wasn't fadded/foggy either!

Ford Racing ZX2 struts
It's time to get rid of the old struts in my '93 RS. I was going to go the KYB GR2 route, but then I found these for cheaper: Ford Racing Escort ZX2 Tokico Strut Kits http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FMS-M-18000-Z2/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Now I know that these will...

Re: Projector Headlights
I just read this in an old thread and thought I'd add it to this one... Just remember: The vertical LED headlights have a different shield designed for halogen bulbs. The horizontal LED ones have the typical "stepped" cutoff line that you see in many HID projector headlights today. Put HID...

Projector Headlights
I've done a search and didn't find what I was looking for. In short, the MX 3 was in a <5mph fender bender earlier with a woman going reverse on an on-ramp. Damage is very minimal; hood is slightly bent at the corner. My passenger headlight was destroyed and I'm looking to replace it. There a...

Re: alignment
I figured 1/16" Toe IN was pretty neutral... I'm not looking to Toe out at all. I want to keep thread life pretty reliable. D'oh, I've got it backwards. The car is going to Toe IN under acceleration, so I want it to toe out more than factory spec, but not to the point where my tires suffer long...

Re: alignment
Can anyone recommend some auto-x alignment specs, something mildly aggressive for the street that aren't harsh on the tires?
I was thinking:
Front:
1/16" Toe In
-1.5* Camber
Rear:
0" Toe
-0.5* Camber
Thoughts or suggestions?

Re: Second Opinion
Well, it runs fine/smooth now. The only issue was the previous day when the car started and a loud knocking sound was coming from the head. Then, after letting the engine idle for about 2 minutes, it quieted down quite a bit. It runs fine now. No hesitation, vibrations, or puttering. Even cold start...

Re: Second Opinion
Okay. So here's the test from today's compression reading, while standing in front of the car from left to right (or passenger's side to driver's side). The fuel injectors were disconnected, TB 100% open, and all the plugs were removed prior to testing. Initially: 120psi 75psi 50psi 50psi Then, afte...

Re: Tapping in the Engine....AGAIN!!!
So while you replace the HLAs, are there any other items that should be replaced or looked at? I see that a lot of you are rebuilding the head completely. Is it just advised? What else could I work on/replace/clean up while I'm R&R the HLAs?

Re: Second Opinion
Could it be the HLA issue you guys have mentioned? The oil has been changed regularly every 3k-4k miles with Castrol Syntec 5W30. After taking off the valve cover and inspecting the rockers and springs, nothing seems out of place (and the metal is gold in color, showing good wear/maintenance). The c...
