I have a 1993 mx-3, manual, 1.6 While the car is off, lately my transmission makes a clinky sound when I gently tap the gear shift in any direction. The tow truck driver the other day said it might need gear fluid. Now I'm wondering, does this car use transmission fluid? (Can't find a place to check...

Does anyone know where this switch is on a 1993 mx-3? The switch I'm speaking of is the one that cuts fuel when an accident occurs. I'd like to find out the location before I rip apart the entire back of my car. Most of those plastic pop-outs don't go back in.

I always wrap duct tape around anything that I blow through. And I never INHALE through anything like that :) Unless the FPR is malfunctioning, but would still pass my multitester tests, then it's fine. Okay. I just removed my 12v-to-fuel-pump rig, plugged the cable harness back in, and then put a jumper wire on the switch contacts of the fuel pump relay. Car runs fine. But the FPR is making constant clicking and vibrating noises. Today for the trip to and from work, I'll be using this simpler jump...

Yeah I checked it. I confirmed right above your post that it wasn't the problem. I bought a new oil pressure switch today. The one in my car... even after cleaning, looks like it still has grit in between the outside contact and the ground of the switch. Might be shorting. But still not even sure if...

Not the fuel pump relay. Maybe ECM. How about the fuel pump cut off switch? Could that be it?

Well, gotta go to work. Using direct voltage to fuel pump and hope all goes well.
