Tranny swap question
I'm thinking about swaping the tranny in my mx-3 1.6 dohc to one from 323/323f 1.3, they both seem to look the same - but I'm not sure if the axles will fit, and if there's any difference between those two (is the 1.3 tranny shorter or not). - do you maybe know if there's any sense in doing it?

Re: Making mx-3 gears shorter ... how? Changing transmission?
As I'm having small problems with translation of "spider gear" and "spider gear pin" into Polish could any of you please post a picture of Differential and somehow mark "spider gear" on it.
Thanks in advance

Poor results of OHM measurements of devices under bonnet
I've read the mx-3 online manual and I found there that one should measure the resistance of devices under bonnet to make sure that they work fine, I did that and my results are poor: Intake air temperature sensor - should be around 2,21-2,69 I have 2,9 Resistance of high-tension lead - should be 16...

Re: b6bf cheap compressor idea
I've been thinking about it - MX-3 1.6 did have A/C compressor - so if my car doesn't have it there must be some empty space for such a small air compressor :) I want to buy A/C COMPRESSOR MOUNTING BRACKET and weld this air compressor to it... Still there are some doubts concerning where exactly doe...

Re: b6bf cheap compressor idea
I have a v4 engine DOHC. I dont know where this compressor is to be installed but looking at it's pictures there are only two holes in it - one goes directly to the engine second to the air filter - which in my opinion makes it a very easy to install and typicall compressor but I'm a little bit affr...

Re: b6bf cheap compressor idea
I may be wrong again - but my friend bought an EATON M45 and he used in in his VW PASSAT. As I said I may be wrong but he said he changed completely nothing just welded eaton under the bonnet used couple of old exhaust pipes and everything seems to be working fine - even the DYNO showed proper BHP p...

Re: b6bf cheap compressor idea
I thought connecting compressor is easy - why new intake manifold, many people using CIVIC's just add one of those "jackson racing" compresor kit's which includes - compressor, piping, belt and it works fine...?

b6bf cheap compressor idea
My friend called me and told me that he has got a very cheap compressor from XEDOS 2,3 miller engine, and that as far as his oppinion is concerned it would be easy to install this compressor to mx-3. But I dont know If I understand the Idea of compressor correctly - did I describe everything on the ...

Re: Making mx-3 gears shorter ... how? Changing transmission?
No my motor is not boosted. I will take pictures of it after the weekend. As I called some of my friends that have used car parts I managed to find a cheap gearbox from MAZDA XEDOS 1.6 and as far as my opinion is concerned I think that gearbox from xedos will be in much better condition than the one...

Re: Making mx-3 gears shorter ... how? Changing transmission?
Vansolrick Thanks :) I have a different problem at the moment - my gear box died - and it's a second gear box so I'm afraid I won't get the chance of trying different ratios (costs to much) - at the moment I'm trying to find Any GEARBOX that is tougher than the OEM one. The problem that I'm struggli...

Making mx-3 gears shorter ... how? Changing transmission?
I've been thinking is there any chance to make gears of mx-3 1.6 dohc short? I know that in honda's people mix gears from different engines (for example first gears from smaller engine the rest from bigger one) to get maximum acceleration (it's called hybrid gearbox). So my idea was to get gears fro...

Re: Will the OBX cams for Miata MX5 1.6L B6ZE fit my MX3?
I managed to find a workshop that works with cams - so they will do mine. But as it takes 14 days I'm trying to buy cams from other car. My next question (I know I'm quite anoying with all that question:)) is whether cams from Mazda Xedos 1.6 16V are the same as in mx-3? Some people say they're same...

Will the OBX cams for Miata MX5 1.6L B6ZE fit my MX3?
my Mx-3 is 1.6 DOHC 16V - on wikipedia this engine is called B6D and I want to install better cams. As I was looking through the forum I found a massage saying that those cams shall fit my engine without any modifications - is that true? Second question is how much BHP can you get from this unit wit...

Re: Turbo installation in a B6D
Thanks for your reply :) - so the 323 B6T manifold will without any changes fit my engine? I know that turbo ain't cheap but this mx-5 manifold would make the whole thing much cheaper - I tried to get some measures - and so far it seams that the holes for the screws are just the same - but the four ...
