Re: broken pieces in mij intake cams full of cooling liquid

Depends on what the damage is inside the cylinder. It's a safe bet that the heaad is probably scrap. I don't know about the piston and the cylinder wall...

Re: What's wrong?

Yeah, but it's not normal. I have spent MONTHS in here without having to sign back in.

Maybe it'd be a good idea to scan the system for spyware...

Re: broken pieces in mij intake cams full of cooling liquid

And I don't recognize that metal piece, is there any chance you might have sucked it in through your air filter? Which one? The one on his hand looks like half a valve seat. The one in the last pic is a broken retainer. You gotta love Mazda engines. What other engine could ssurvive that damage? :lo...

Re: RE: Electric MX-3

First, I'd like to know how much that car weighs. Batteries are heavy, and, like Redline said, there's a lot of useless crap still in it. Second, I don't see it as a good install. An electric car with the tranny still on? And finally, 40-45 mile range? That makes it, at best, a cute toy. And ...

Re: slight lifter tap on cold start

If it really bothers you, get the head rebuilt, and make sure the HLA,s get replaced with new ones. Meanwhile you could switch to a good synthetic oil with a good oil additive (like ProLong or Z-Max), and your valve tap should disappear.

Re: Ok, good news and bad news...

Ok, now I`m connected. Thank you all. Yes, last year wasn`t fun. It`s not like I was in a ¨prison¨, exactly. More like a concentration camp. And no, I`m not exaggerating, unfortunately. But it`s amazing the things you can endure, when you want something badly enough... Welcome back to the forum. Why...

Re: Ok, good news and bad news...

Thanks guys. I have a very bad connection where I am now so I gotta keep it short. I will hopefully be able to post in a few days. Either way, yes, with any luck, this time I hope I`m back for good.

Ok, good news and bad news...

...at least for me. The good news, after spending 379 days in 2 different immigration prisons ( or ¨detention centers¨, as they like to call them  ), I´m finally free, and able to, among other things, come back here. The bad news, despite all my efforts to the contrary, I was finally deported ...

Ok, now's the time. I hope I can be back soon.

Once again, thank you all for everything. I'm gonna miss being in here.

And, yes, Dan, I'm even gonna miss you...

Re: Update: the time has come...

Yep. Finally, tomorrow I will go turn myself in, to be deported back to my country. Later on today, I will be deleting my user profile from the computer I've been using these last few months. I expect to be absent for at least a few months. :( Thank you all for everything. I'll be back as soon as I ...
