Re: Prominent creeking noice in frontpassenger side wheel area.

If it's a strong clicking sound, like you're hitting the brakes with a hammer (but kinda muffled), chances are it's the external CV joint o that axle. But if it's (as I understood by your post) a creeking sound like an old bed when you get on it, it's probably your shock. Get your car on a flat surf...

Re: Tapping in the Engine....AGAIN!!!

Ryan: I've heard of dumber things too. Not only that: I experience dumber things almost daily at work. A few days ago a customer brought a brake rotor that was showing the cooling fins trough one if its faces. He wanted to know if that could be the cause of the noise he was having... But you ...

Re: Great Deals, lets hear about yours.

Well, I'm sorry you don't like being called a thief, but that doesn't change the facts, as you stated them. Kal tire didn't lose money on your transaction. The cashier that made the mistake most likely had to pay for it either in cash, or if the company suspected any kind of foul play, with his job....

Re: Great Deals, lets hear about yours.

My tires were marked 480/pr, but the stooge at the counter rang em in as 480/full set! Mounting and balancing, chrome valve stems and lug nuts free. Booyakasha. Sorry, but the way I see it, that's not a good deal. That's stealing. As a man who has several times caught cashiers on those kinds of mis...

Re: Learning to drive manual is fun.. *WHA BAAAANG*

Well... my learning day was...ahem...not so much fun. After 4 years begging, finally my dad decided to teach me. So we went to a dirt road, and we switched seats. It was a very sunny summer day, I was 15, and my knees were shaking so hard I could barely walk. So I sat on the drivers's seat of our fa...

Re: possible bad alt and possible bad ground any suggestions

I agree with Umcamara, with one exception: You shouldn't even try to disconnect the battery when the car is running. The reason is that one of the functions of the battery is to protect the ECU from voltage peaks from the alternator. So, if you do that, you may end up with a dead ECU. Other than tha...

Re: Tapping in the Engine....AGAIN!!!

Mnemonic: when I read your post earlier today, I decided to wait until after work to reply to it, mostly because I have never driven a KL engine, and I didn't want to talk from a purely theoretical stance. Notice though, that the op stated he has a B6, so even if you were right about the KL, that ha...

Re: Tapping in the Engine....AGAIN!!!

Ryan, I'm gonna have to disagree with you. I had a '92 1.6 L for little less than 3 years, got rid of the tapping from the get go, and never heard it again until I sold the car. Swman01: welcome to the forum. :) If you replaced your HLAs for new ones, you need to first run the cheapest oil you can b...

That sounds good.
Worst case scenario, you have a nice toy, but, who knows? Maybe everything goes well, and you become the forum's top solid state A/C provider... 8)

Re: Very high output alternator (200A+)

Datasheet is here: http://new-electronics.gr/peltier/CP1-127_SERIES-PERFORMANCE_SPECIFICATIONS.pdf Mine's the CP1-12730. Well, for the last 2+ hours I've been studying the datasheet and brushing up on my (not so good to start with) Peltier knowledge, and I have to say I'm more skeptical than ever. ...

I went with the rtx. Especially on a black car, I think an all black set of rims would look dull.

Sounds like marketing BS to me, and coming from an Ebay seller...
Do you have a link to the module's spec sheets? I'd love to have a close look at them.

I do believe it. I have experienced it.
Best feeling in the world. Now your car stopped being a machine to become your "baby".
Enjoy! :D

I don't know.
How much is it (including shipping), and which brand?
Advance Auto Parts has the MOOG lower ball joints for $ 54.99 each, and Moog is very good stuff. I don't think it'd be a good idea to save money there...
