I took my car to a mechanic to get the transmission replaced, and he charged me for 12 quarts of oil, have I been ripped off?

Question for all MX3 experts. I have a 6 cyl 94 mx3 with Automatic Transmission. One day I got home, parked the car and the next day starts but won't move no matter if you put it on D N R 1 or 2.
