should a subwoofer box be air tight? because i unscrewed mine to look at the speakers and now when i screwed them back in air comes out a bit through the previous screw holes and i was wondering if that will effect the sound quality

i just bought my system off my friend and they are 2 12" phoenix gold XMAX's in a custom box. i wanted to get a look at the face of the subs because they are installed so that the face pumps into the box. Does anyone know if i can simply unscrew the screws and take the subs out of the box, look...

i just bought 2 12" phoenix gold XMAX subs in a custom mx-3 box off a friend. Can anyone give me there opinion on these subs and if that set up should be good for an mx3. Also would a Phoenix gold amp be the best bet? and how many watts should i go..i think they run the best at either 500 or 60...

i got them in a custom box for 450$ cdn... i think there cms is 1200 watts... do u know anything else about them
