Yeah the subject sums it all up.. my check engine light will come on... and if i floor it and get it up above 4000rpms it goes off for a few days and than it might come back.. any body else have this odd and unusual problem?

Are those spots on the hood 'fisheye' caused by oil in the lines from the compressor. You can buy fisheye additive that may help stop that from happening. You talk about block sanding.
