Re: could this be my iac?

Interesting. I've always had a similar problem ever since I got my car in late December. I fixed it a little bit when I changed out my TB but it's still doing it, just not as drastic. I think that cleaning the vacuum lines, IM, and replacing the TB with a polished one helped a little bit, but my idl...

Re: KL01 Cams and K8 for fun

weird more air is usually always better That's what I thought when I swapped the TB. I'm going to put the spacer back in to see if I gain any power back. I ported it a little bit so that putting it back on won't defeat the purpose of having a larger TB. I'll probably do that tomorrow and post how i...

Re: Help:Check engine light comes on when gas pedal is depressed

Its GND and TEN. (Test ENgine) 10 is an arabic numeral, with no place in our bay except when it represents the metric size of some bolts. Haha. Sorry. Smartass moment. On the same topic, why don't they stamp the size of a bolt on the head of it? Could be a vaccuum leak, or a distributor problem. Pr...

Maybe you got yourself one of those transformer cars since it healed on its own.

Re: Clutch fluid coming out of clutch pedal...

Yeah remember to get brake fluid. Be careful when removing the hydraulic lines, and remember to bleed the lines after you install or rebuild your new master cylinder by using the bleeder valve at the slave cylinder (on tranny).

Re: Help:Check engine light comes on when gas pedal is depressed

I know if you ask how to check the codes or what the codes mean, people will just tell you to "search". Well I figured it wouldn't hurt to tell you up front so that there are more results in that "search" function. To check codes, just use a paper clip to jump/bridge GRND and 10 ...

Re: KL01 Cams and K8 for fun

I have a request. before you pull the cam's out of the KLZE/DE could you note the timing for .050 and also intake and exhaust opening and closing BDTC ATDC and all that jazz. I know a number of sites list figures how ever they are not matching mine? The camshafts will exchange however I do not know...

Re: Body question on our new v6

My floors aren't raised but I've put a jack on the rails for a short period of time because I needed an easy way to get to my Cat bolts and our jack isn't quite a big one. For the most part, doing that shouldn't raise your floor so it seems like someone put a jack somewhere clean on the unibody floo...

Re: Mx3 v6 problem (Need help)

It is also possible that your VAF is responsible for your problems. Either it isn't plugged in (check the connection harness all the way down) or that it might be broken.

Re: code 16 nighmare

Sadly I don't have any advice but I can share that I'm having a similar problem. I get the EGR code 16 when driving in the heat for a while. However, my engine never stalls. But, my idle is always screwed up when the engine is cold. If I give it gas and rev (lets say) to 2k revs, it will drop back d...

Re: KL01 Cams and K8 for fun

Alright man it's official. Sometime within the next week or two I'll try to make time and room in our garage to do my timing. While doing that, we will see if we can get the cams set in my K8 head  and I'm being serious.

KL01 Cams and K8 for fun

First of all I want to make a point that this is something that I've considered doing for fun and trial. I will be getting a KLZE from my buddy's parting-out MX-6 that has machined cams to swap with my K8 in the near future. We have a parts motor that is a KLZE/KL hybrid (lower half KLZE with ZE pis...

Re: 5-spd shifter kinks forwards or backwards?

You mean the shifter itself when you look at it under the boot? I'll check sometime tonight and post; i'm a bit lazy at the moment :D . I know it's kinked one way or the other.
