Re: Negative - MX-3.COM

That being said, $600+ a new battery is very very close to what my part-time tuition was, and I used that money for the repairs, so now I can't pay for my semester. Obviously if I get a paycheque or two, I'll be able to cover it. But I can't see into the future and don't want to take anything for ...

[FS] - 1995 Red MX-3 RS, 239,000 km's

I recently purchased Jeff's MX-3, but have gotten into financial straits and need to let it go.

I purchased the car for $1500. $600 went into it for safety, plus a new battery to get it on the road. All the work is done for you, the safety/e-test is still valid, the car's ready to be taken into the ...

Re: Negative - MX-3.COM

Though I appreciate the 30 post rule, I think my situation might waver from the norm a little bit.

I registered to be able to contact Jeff about his car, now I want to sell it using the same medium. I don't have threads that I can post enough in to reach 30, nor do I think you guys would want +1 ...

Re: Negative - MX-3.COM

Since I can't post in the for sale thread, I'm posting this here.

I'm cutting my losses with this car and selling it to make enough to cover tuition, since with the money I spent to get the car road-worthy sapped my college funds.

The car had $600 worth of work done to it to make it pass safety ...

Re: Negative - MX-3.COM

The car you purchased was sold as is.
It's almost 14 years old! Is NOT going to be like new.

Who said I was expecting a 14yr old car to be like new?

When I, a student on a budget, ask about safety, which hasn't been done, and am told that the rear brakes and possibly the left headlight would be ...

Re: Negative - MX-3.COM

My witness and the pms we shared over the running condition of the car will circumvent the "as is" thing. "as is" is fine and all, but the way "is" was advertised is not the way it ended up being, so I was mislead.

"as is" has no legal grounds if you're not answering questions around the "is" part ...

Re: Negative - MX-3.COM

In heindsight, you're correct, that's exactly what I should've done. This is my first venture into buying a car. When I saw Jeff's up for sale on an enthusiast forum, I figured it'd be safer than going through some unknown on kijiji or something since he's the forum admin and all. So I trusted him ...

Re: Negative - MX-3.COM

During talks about known places to get the car certified, Jeff suggested this perticular place that we ended up taking it to, and mentionned them being honest and upfront. I live about a 5min walk from that place and knew about it as well. There's no gouging going on from their side, both Jeff and I ...

Negative - MX-3.COM

Jeff had his car for sale. I'm a student whos policy with his parents expires at the end of December. I was looking for a relatively inexpensive way to get myself started. Jeff's car was posted for $1500.

In conversations with Jeff, I asked whether the car was in running condition and if it was e ...
