93 B6ME VAF to 95 B6DE MAF
I am sure that this has been answered somewhere before but after two hours of searching... I can't say that I didn't try. I just installed a spectre intake onto my B6ME, but I am not too terribly happy with it because the size of the VAF takes up so much space that I can't convert it to a cold air i...

Re: 95 B6DE Real Slugish
In the wake of me replacing the vacuum lines, I did not realize that there was supposed to be a check valve in the hose that goes from the brake booster to the intake manifold. However the car runs better without the check valve inside the hose but at the sacrifice of an occasional soft brake. Why w...

Re: Is it ECTS or Bad Ground???
Wow... I understand the air passing through the radiator and that the needle would drop like a mm or two, however when I gas the car, the needle drops to near the cold line, I live in North Carolina, not Canada so the air is not that damn cold. This is not normal and I know this, just not what it is...

Is it ECTS or Bad Ground???
On my B6ME, when the car idles the temperature gauge works fine, upon acceleration, the gauge drops, the faster I go, the lower it drops. Is this a bad ECTS or possibly a notoriously bad ground?

Re: 95 B6DE Real Slugish
It seem that after I replaced the vacuum lines, the car runs rich. I am sure that the o2 sensor needs to be replaced, should I even test it, considering that the car has close to 100K?

Re: 95 B6DE Real Slugish
I had figured.... that a higher octane would help with the stutter problem if it was dirty injectors... guess not ![Crying :crying:](./images/smilies/crying.gif)

Re: 95 B6DE Real Slugish
To the best of my knowledge, she only has one o2 sensor, she does have two cats though, I dont think she has a resonator but the car does have plenty of back pressure. Finished replacing the hoses today. The only one I didnt get to was the one under the intake hose just for lack of time but it drive...

Re: 95 B6DE Real Slugish
Well... here is the thing, and please don't laugh. I don't know where to start when it comes to checking ground wires. I know where the negative terminal on the battery is... but that is about it. I have looked at the electrical diagram on the online manual but... I feel I am at a loss. If I could l...

Re: 95 B6DE Real Slugish
but if that was the case, my b6me would run worse than hers with the ac on and it runs without problem.

Re: 95 B6DE Real Slugish
Just an update I was checking the vacuum hoses according to the diagram from the online manual. The hose that goes from the brake booster to the bottom side of the intake manifold had some type of plastic metal like stuff in it and it was completely clogged. I got it out and it fixed a majority of t...

Re: A brief moment of exhaust engine smoke
Just out of curiousity though, what would thick white smoke mean? I have been told that my car does it from time to time even after the motor warms up.

Re: Parts for B6ME
Well, for starters... I do know how to use the search feature.. I just overlook things some times
. As far as fuel economy with a throttle body gasket leak, I was getting around 26 mpg city so I dropped 1 mpg, however I put the gasket on today so we will see how that goes.
