umcamara... I know how to read, just because people are not as knowledgable as you claim to think you are, you dont have to respond with such ignorant answers. ...anyways... Ryan, here is what the motor looks like, which I do believe as... umcamara stated is a b6de, however the casting on the side s...

Re: B55 1.5 in a 95 MX-3
So do we have b6 in our cars or do we share the z5d motor from the 95 protege? Both are dohc yet one is 1.5 and the other is 1.6. Why did Mazda do this?

B55 1.5 in a 95 MX-3
I've used the search feature and have found minimal information on this engine that somebody has stuck in my wife's car. Is the same amount of oil used in the B6 (which the chilton says it is a B6ZE), or do I need to use alittle less? I have done some research and noticed that both engines use the s...

Re: Short shifter rattles!?
Sounds like fun, also sounds like you've had experience with this problem. Do I need to get another set of bushings or washers or anything like that or just get a bolt? If I dremmel out that and put a bolt in, it's still gonna slide back and forth. Is there supposed to be some play on that piece?

Re: Short shifter rattles!?
How does one eliminate the play in the shifter on the part of the arm that swivels. You have the part where the two bushings connect to the transmission cable housing, and then theres the swivel spot where in the middle the arm goes back to the short shift. That swivel spot where the arm has play in...

Re: Racingmazda.com's Turbo
I'm sure the question has probably been answered elsewhere... but would the 323 turbo manifold fit the B6-ME? Or am I still out of luck. I read an article from a guy that built up a B6-ME and mentioned something about using the 323 turbo manifold.

An Article worth reading...
I was wondering just how much of this is true... this is from the Import Tuner Magazine. Mazda MX 3 - MX It Up Mazda Mx3 Front Side View It doesn't take a German philosopher to imagine what goes on here at 2NR. It also doesn't take a regular Bob Saget to imagine how many crappy cars are trying to ge...

Re: Water leaking into car.
Thanks for all the feedback. I think I may go a similar route. I am going to try to fiberglass the entire floor from firewall to backseat and let that cure. Then lay bondo over the top of that, so that when I put the carpet back in, it wont be so lumpy.

Re: Water leaking into car.
Positive because there are cracks underneath the seat and since I have removed the carpet and cleaned it up I went through a puddle of water and now there is rusty water underneath my seats as well as black cracks everywhere

Water leaking into car.
I was forced to take out the carpet in the car because water keeps seeping in from the cracks in the floor. Is there a product that I can use to seal the entire floor of the car?

How does something like this happen? That way I can make sure it won't happen again.

Clutch fluid coming out of clutch pedal...
Yeah.. just as it sounds. It looks like the pipe as soon as it goes into the firewall... looks like a gasket was there once upon a time, now not so much... It is weeping oil... kind of messy. Any ideas? I will try to have some pics up tomorrow if needed.
