Re: Got my own MX-3... with problems.

Is there any way that it could be from the timing belt cover gasket? I'm just kind of in denial that after doing the seal three times that it is still leaking. The parts I used was the two brand new end seal gaskets, and from what I remember was the ultra gray rtv sealant.

Ha! Unless you are like me who have aspirations to boost a b6-me, then that holy grail owns you.

Re: Auto Part Sites

Providing that the guy answers his email, this is a pretty cool site.

Also,

Lastly, an international version of Ebay contains cool parts for our cars sometimes too!

Re: 1.6 Mx-3 Header

So... has anybody tried installing these to an a/c equipped car yet? I want these but dont want to end up with two useless sets if I can't use them.

Re: Got my own MX-3... with problems.

Revival Time!!! Ok... so I replaced the oil pan gasket (two rubber end seals and silcone in the middle). About a month or so later, it seems to be leaking from the same spots. Is it even possible for an oil pan to become warped? I have taken it off three times, used hi-temp silcone each time, put it...

Re: 1.6 Mx-3 Header

Why does it say that it will not fit cars that are equipped with AC? Surely, there is a way around this. I would buy two if this was possible.

Re: Hard to track defrost problem. SOLVED

OK, so with the help from everybody on the forum, I was able to fix the rear defrost. The relay had burned out (literally) so I put a new relay. Now my next question is... why did it burn out? It had this black bubble on two of the four prongs, the wire ends were burnt all to hell, so... what can I ...

Re: Hard to track defrost problem.

I'll make sure that my posts come with a complementary bottle of aspirin for the ones who need it. As far as my interior lights... I swapped out (dumb me) the btn 40 amp fuse for her defog 40 amp fuse. The defog must have fried that fuse because when I switched them back to their normal homes I got ...

Hard to track defrost problem.

Just to let everybody know... I did use the search feature before posting this but I couldn't quite match the problem to what I am having. With that out of the way. 95 MX-3, rear defrost light does not come on... There seems to be power to both of the metal contacts however unlike my mx-3, her third...

Re: B55 1.5 in a 95 MX-3

Ok... so it is safe to say that my wife's mx-3 has not been jew'd with a 1.5 z5d motor and that I do indeed have a 1.6? Are the B55 and the b6de the same motor or is it just that the same casting will work for both the protege and the mx-3? Umcamara, I do apologize looking back I was alittle brash w...

Re: B55 1.5 in a 95 MX-3

I wasn't trying to be an a--, it just seems like in every post I make, when you post a response it is almost belittling. But I guess lucky me, it is not that big of a problem
