Re: Help! My window is stuck!!!!!!!!!!

I'm assuming you guys have power windows. Welcome to the club. MX-3's are notorious for having the power windows fail on them. I'm glad I didn't get that option when I bought mine. To fix the problem, you'll probably need to replace the motor that runs the power window. I heard it's quite expensive ...

Re: Feul Consumption

Sounds like there's a hole somewhere in your intake which is causing the air filter element to get dirty which causes more fuel consumption. Check the air flow meter hose for a hole. If there's a hole, replace the hose and air filter. Very simple to replace yourself, new hose costs $66.62 CDN from a...

Re: MX-3 vs. Integra

'94 stock MX-3 GS = 130HP vs. '94 stock Integra (there are 2 engines) one is 142HP, the other is 170HP except they are both 4 bangers. Either way, the Integra is faster.

Re: poor gas mileage

Yes, get the needle checked. As for the crappy gas milage, when did you last replace your fuel filter? If you can't remember, then replace it along with the air filter. Also get a fuel injector cleaner. I use the Duralube Advanced Fuel system treatment. Cleans the injectors very well. If you get all...

Re: Engne Knocking????

What happened was the previous owner or yourself has been using the wrong octane for your car. Filling your tank with 87 octane can cause engine knocking. The MX-3 GS needs 91 octane. There must be a lot of buildup in the engine. Get it checked out.

Re: Emissions in Ontario.................

You're gonna pass unless there is something wrong with you car. For example, hole in the muffler, excessive smoke, etc. Don't know the specifics but you'll most likely pass. The only mod I know of that will make you fail is having one of those exhaust cut-outs installed. G'luck.

What's the better muffler?

Just last week I found out that my current stock muffler had a small hole in it. I noticed because my exhaust was really LOUD! Sounded like a performance muffler with no silencer. Anyways, I'm looking to replace it with a nice performance muffler that sounds good (kinda loud but not TOO loud), looks...

Re: What spark plugs do you use?

Splitfire plugs are garbage. First, they don't even fit properly. I remember when I tried a set, I had to re-tighten then every 2 weeks to a month. Someone told me the thread diameter on Splitfire plugs is undersized on MX-3's. Secondly, there's no increase in performance, it's more like a decrease....
